Updates of our week:
Andy discusses how Halloween has apparently come early this year in his neighborhood as the residents decorate their yards with all sorts of "spooky" and festive things. Andy wonders how much is too much and if most people get as excited as the people in his neighborhood appear to be.
Daniel brings up a valid question that only a true Chicagoan can answer. Can giardiniera be substituted with pickled jalapenos and carrots in a pinch for Italian Beefs? We talk about the similarities and differences, but overall, its better than nothing and worthy of putting on that beef sandwich.
Daniel gives us his review of 2024's film, Civil War, starring Kirsten Dunst. He really enjoyed it and Noel discusses how he was surprised the direction it went in focusing on journalists covering the war versus more of the combat itself.
Daniel also recaps his recent viewing of the 1980s V miniseries. Daniel and Andy reminisce about the Sci-Fi show when it first aired on television back in the early 80s and how it spawned a reboot later on.
Noel talks about Intel's CPU issue that has been a hot topic amongst computer enthusiasts. Intel's 13th & 14th generation processors have been suffering from quality issues and put Intel in "hot water" as their resolution is leaving their customers incredibly dissatisfied.
Noel also talks about the Mr. McMahon documentary on Netflix. In the 6 episode docuseries, it covers the rise of WWF (now WWE) and how Vince McMahon rose to fame and wealth. Its a very interesting watch for any wrestling fan out there.
